PERNILLA APPELROS

.I’m a former teacher turned UX designer, blending curiosity about how people learn with a passion for how they experience the world.  My background in linguistic communication taught me how words shape understanding, while my years as a teacher showed me the power of clarity, empathy, and structure. All essential ingredients in great design.

Today, I create user experiences that are intuitive, meaningful, and beautifully simple. I also illustrate and paint, once mainly in watercolor and acrylic, now exploring the digital canvas with equal passion. Much of my artwork captures the warmth and charm of everyday life. Familiar scenes that celebrate connection, love, and the small details that make life beautiful.

I love illustrating for literature and other creative projects, and I happily take commissions for paintings and custom art. When creating commissioned pieces, I often draw inspiration from your home environment. Its colors, shapes, and atmosphere to ensure the artwork blends seamlessly into your everyday life.

In my spare time, I write and am currently working on several books that I hope will one day find their way onto bookstore shelves. Helping people move forward in life, whether through design, creativity, or storytelling, is something I truly love and consider my life’s mission. At heart, I’m an empathetic and imaginative person, and when I get to work with creativity and human connection, I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
